Golden, the Clockwork Cat
When the favored cat familiar of an old gnomish mage began to grow ill and die, the great wondermaker did the only thing he could: he built his beloved pet a new body. Golden is a gleaming clockwork cat of masterful construction. Centuries of serving as a familiar has imbued golden with a much greater intellect and cunning than any ordinary cat, and his clockwork construction makes him much more durable than most other familiars. If treated well, Golden is a lifelong friend and companion for any friendly mage.

Familiar: Golden can serve another spellcaster as a familiar, forming a magic, telepathic bond with that willing companion. While the two are bonded, the companion can sense what Golden senses as long as they are within 1 mile of each other. While Golden is wihin 10 feet of his companion, the companion shares his Magic Resistance trait. At any time and for any reason, Golden can end its service as a familiar, ending the telepathic bond.
Keen Senses: Golden has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell.
Magic Resistance: Golden has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Limited Telepathy: Golden can magically communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 100 feet of it that can understand a language.
Sun Bather: Golden must bath in sunlight for at least one hour a day or he gains a level of Fatigue. If Golden ever takes 3 levels of Fatigue, he shuts down and must be placed in sunlight to be reactivated. While Golden is exposed to direct sunlight, he heals 1 hit point every minute.
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.
